Office and business wear. Suits relaxed and creative dress codes with chinos or smart trousers. Grey/Navy is the sharper of the two colourways.

Weekends and casual. The Gorge's natural territory. Both colourways work with denim, chinos and shorts through the warmer months.

Smart events. Appropriate for casual gatherings and smart-casual occasions with an open dress code. For formal events, choose a leather-soled dress shoe.

Not formal enough for. Formal business dress, weddings with a formal dress code, black tie and white tie.

Order your everyday UK size. Order the same UK size you wear in most leather footwear. If you normally wear a half size in other brands, choose the full size above, for example UK 9.5 elsewhere means UK 10 here.

Snug at first is correct. The natural calf leather lining will soften and bed in over the first few wears. Some initial snugness across the forefoot is expected and normal.

Wide forefoot or high instep? Consider ordering one full size above your usual size. The leather will mould with wear but does not stretch significantly across the width.

Full UK sizes only. This style is stocked in full UK sizes 6 to 12; no half sizes are available.

Construction: Classic six-eyelet sneaker. Designed by JWS to its own specification, built for comfort and longevity
Fit: True to size. Six-eyelet lace fastening with removable insole. Full UK sizes 6 to 12 only.

Calf leather panels. Wipe down with a slightly damp cloth after wear to remove dirt, then apply a small amount of neutral leather conditioner every few weeks to keep the calf supple.

Calf suede panels. Apply a suede protector spray before first wear and every few weeks thereafter. Brush regularly with a suede brush to lift the nap, and use a suede eraser for marks. Never use wax polish or leather conditioner on suede.

Insole. The full leather and latex insole is removable; take it out overnight to air after heavy wear.

Storage. Insert cedar shoe trees after wearing to hold the shape and draw out moisture, and allow at least 24 hours between wears. Store away from direct heat and sunlight.
