Office and business wear. The clean 2-eyelet silhouette and minimal profile sit comfortably alongside tailored trousers or chinos in a business-casual setting.

Weekends and casual. Pairs naturally with denim or cord trousers. The Brown works particularly well for relaxed weekend wear; the Black keeps things sharp.

Formal events. Suitable for smart-casual occasions, a funeral, a wedding reception, or a less formal dinner where a full Oxford would feel excessive.

Not formal enough for. Black tie, white tie, or any occasion that calls for a formal Oxford or Derby. The chukka profile is too casual for those settings.

Order your everyday UK size. The Castle runs true to size. Order the same UK size you wear in most other shoes.

Snug at first is correct. The full leather lining will bed in over the first few wears. Some initial snugness across the toe box is normal and expected.

Stay at your everyday UK size if. You have a standard or slightly wider forefoot, the removable insole also allows a small amount of additional room if needed.

All sizes are full UK sizes; we do not stock half sizes. If you normally wear a half size in other brands, for example a UK 9.5, choose the full size above (UK 10). The leather lining will accommodate the small difference as it beds in.

Fit: True to size, order your everyday UK size. Full UK sizes only (UK 6–13).

After each wear. Brush with a horsehair brush to remove surface dust and dirt. This takes 30 seconds and prevents grime building up in the calf leather grain.

Every 3–4 wears. Wipe down with a slightly damp cloth and allow to dry naturally at room temperature. Apply a thin layer of leather conditioner to keep the leather supple. Never use direct heat. Polish with a colour-matched wax polish; we recommend JW Premium Wax Polish, using small circular motions. Allow to haze for 10 minutes, then buff with a horsehair brush and soft cloth for shine.

Storage and rotation. Insert cedar shoe trees immediately after wearing to absorb moisture, hold the boot's shape, and prevent creasing. Rotate your shoes and allow at least 24 hours between wears.
