Snug at first is correct. Tumbled grain calf leather softens and moulds with wear. A snug fit when new is expected and will ease to a comfortable hold within a few outings.

Wide forefoot or high instep? The last has good room through the forefoot, so most wearers with a wider foot or higher instep are still comfortable at their usual UK size.

All sizes are full UK sizes; we do not stock half sizes. If you normally wear a half size in other brands, choose your usual whole size rather than sizing up: a UK 8.5 sits comfortably in a UK 8.

After each wear. Brush with a horsehair brush to remove surface dust from the textured grain. The tumbled finish is naturally forgiving with minor scuffs, but regular brushing keeps the leather looking its best. Insert cedar shoe trees after every wear.

Every 3–4 wears. Wipe with a damp cloth and allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. Apply a leather conditioner using circular motions, working it into the grain texture. A neutral or colour-matched wax polish may be applied lightly for protection, tumbled grain leather suits a natural, low-shine finish rather than a high polish. Buff gently with a soft cloth.

Storage and rotation. Allow at least 24 hours between wears to let the leather dry fully. Rotate pairs regularly and store on shoe trees to maintain shape.
