Office and business wear. Suits relaxed and smart-casual office dress codes with chinos or lightweight tailoring.

Weekends and casual. A natural summer shoe, worn sockless or with invisible socks alongside chinos, shorts or lightweight trousers.

Smart events. Suits garden parties, summer lunches and relaxed celebrations with soft tailoring. For formal dress codes, a lace-up is the better choice.

Not formal enough for. Formal business dress, black tie and white tie.

Order your everyday UK size. Order the same UK size you wear in most leather footwear. If you normally wear a half size in other brands, choose the full size above, for example UK 9.5 elsewhere means UK 10 here.

Snug at first is correct. The natural calf leather lining will soften and bed in over the first few wears. Some initial snugness across the forefoot is expected and normal.

Wide forefoot or high instep? Consider ordering one full size above your usual size. The leather will mould with wear but does not stretch significantly across the width.

Fit: True to size. Slip-on with suede heel counter for a secure hold. Full UK sizes 6 to 12 only.

Calf suede (Brown Suede). Apply a suede protector spray before first wear and every few weeks thereafter. Brush regularly with a suede brush to lift the nap, and use a suede eraser for marks. Never use wax polish or leather conditioner on suede.

Summer care. Dust and dry marks brush out easily with a suede brush. Refresh the protector spray after beach or holiday wear, and allow any damp suede to dry naturally away from heat.

Storage. Insert cedar shoe trees after wearing to hold the shape and draw out moisture, and allow at least 24 hours between wears. Store away from direct heat and sunlight.
