Weekends and casual. The natural home of the Hemsworth. Works well with jeans, chinos, or tailored shorts across weekend errands, lunches, or travel days in White, Tan, or Navy.

Formal events. The rubber sole and sneaker silhouette place this firmly outside black-tie and formal event territory. A derby or oxford would be the appropriate choice.

Not formal enough for. Black-tie, weddings with a formal dress code, or any occasion specifying lounge suit or smarter. The Hemsworth is a smart-casual shoe — not a dress shoe.

Order your everyday UK size. The Hemsworth fits true to size. Order the same UK size you wear in most shoes.

Snug at first is correct. The structured calf leather will ease slightly with wear. A snug but not painful fit on first wear is expected and will settle with use.

Wide forefoot or high instep? The Hemsworth has a structured profile. If you have a notably wide forefoot or high instep, consider trying UK 7 upward with some care — the removable insole can be left out to create a little extra depth.

All sizes are full UK sizes — we do not stock half sizes. If you normally wear a half size in other brands — for example a UK 9.5 — choose the full size above (UK 10). The leather will ease with wear to accommodate the slight difference.

Fit: True to size. Available in full UK sizes UK 6–13. The leather eases with wear; removable insole allows for personalised fit adjustment.

After each wear. Wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and marks. Clean the rubber sole with a damp cloth or soft brush. Allow to dry naturally — never use direct heat. Insert shoe trees to maintain shape and absorb moisture.

Every 3–4 wears. Apply a light leather conditioner to keep the upper supple. Follow with a wax polish in a matching colour to protect the leather and cover minor scuffs. For White, use a dedicated white leather cleaner to maintain the colour. Avoid silicone-based products, which can dry the leather over time.

Storage and rotation. Store away from direct sunlight, which can fade leather unevenly. Rotating between pairs extends the life of each shoe significantly.
