The Jermyn is a 4-eyelet full English brogue Derby with traditional wingtip detailing. Available in Tan and Black, it carries the hallmarks of classic British footwear design — intricate perforations, a clean Derby silhouette, and a calf leather upper that develops character with wear

Versatile enough for business-casual offices and country weekends alike, the Jermyn sits comfortably between smart and relaxed — suited to flannel trousers, chinos, or dark denim with a blazer.

When to wear them

Office and business wear. Well-suited to business-casual dress codes. The brogue detailing adds interest to tailored trousers or a suit in a relaxed corporate environment. Black works in more conservative offices; Tan leans smart-casual.

Weekends and casual. An excellent choice for country weekends, casual lunches, or paired with dark denim and a blazer. The full rubber sole provides grip and durability for days on your feet.

Formal events. Suitable as a guest at weddings or smart social occasions where dress codes are lounge suit or smart-casual. The Black is the stronger choice for more formal settings.

Not formal enough for. The brogue perforation pattern makes the Jermyn unsuitable for black-tie or white-tie events, and it sits uncomfortably alongside a strict lounge-suit dress code where a plain cap-toe would be expected.

How they fit

Order your everyday UK size. The Jermyn fits true to size for most wearers. Order the same UK size you wear in other everyday shoes.

Snug at first is correct. The calf leather upper will soften and mould to the foot with wear. A snug fit on first wear is normal and expected — do not be alarmed by initial firmness.

Wide forefoot or high instep? If you have a noticeably wide forefoot or high instep, consider choosing UK size up from your usual size. The leather does not stretch dramatically in width.

All sizes are full UK sizes — we do not stock half sizes. If you normally wear a half size in other brands — for example a UK 9.5 — choose the full size above (UK 10) for the Jermyn.

Care Instructions

After each wear. Brush with a horsehair brush to remove surface dust and dirt. This takes 30 seconds and prevents grime building up in the leather grain. Insert cedar shoe trees immediately to absorb moisture, hold the shoe's shape, and prevent creasing.

Every 3–4 wears. Wipe down with a slightly damp cloth and allow to dry naturally at room temperature — never use direct heat. Apply a thin layer of leather conditioner to keep the leather supple. Follow with a colour-matched wax polish (we recommend JW Premium Wax Polish): apply in small circular motions, allow to haze for 10 minutes, then buff with a horsehair brush and soft cloth for shine. Use Tan polish for the Tan colourway and Black polish for the Black.

Storage and rotation. Rotate your shoes and allow at least 24 hours between wears. Store with cedar shoe trees in place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

How should I care for my shoes?

Quality leather improves with age when properly maintained. Clean regularly with a soft brush, condition every few weeks with leather cream, and protect with water-resistant spray before first wear.
