Weekends and casual. Built for this. The tumbled calf leather and rubber island sole handle varied terrain. Wear with denim, moleskin, or heavy cotton trousers. Both Brown and Black work here without effort.

Formal events. Appropriate for smart-casual occasions, weddings with a relaxed dress code, country house events, or evening dinners that stop short of black-tie. The brogue detailing keeps it firmly in smart-casual territory.

Not formal enough for. Black-tie or white-tie events. A plain oxford or dress shoe is the conventional choice for strictly formal occasions. The Falcon's brogue detailing and boot silhouette place it outside that category.

Snug at first is correct. The full leather lining and insole will soften and mould slightly with wear. Some initial firmness around the toe box is normal and will ease.

Stay at your everyday UK size if. You have a standard width fitting. The Falcon accommodates a regular forefoot width without adjustment.

All sizes are full UK sizes; we do not stock half sizes. If you normally wear a half size in other brands, for example a UK 9.5, choose the full size above, UK 10. The leather lining will adapt with wear.

After each wear. Brush with a horsehair brush to remove surface dust from the textured grain. The tumbled finish is naturally forgiving with minor scuffs, but regular brushing keeps the leather in good order.

Every 3–4 wears. Wipe with a damp cloth and allow to dry naturally away from direct heat. Apply a leather conditioner in circular motions, working it into the grain. Tumbled leather can dry out faster than smooth leather, so conditioning is worthwhile. A neutral or colour-matched wax polish may be applied lightly for protection; the tumbled grain looks best at a natural, low-shine finish rather than a high buff.

Storage and rotation. Insert cedar shoe trees after every wear to hold the shape and draw out moisture. Allow at least 24 hours between wears. The full leather insole will last considerably longer with this routine in place.
