Office and business wear. The Reef and Black calf leather versions sit comfortably in a business-casual office alongside tailored trousers or chinos. The clean, minimalist silhouette keeps things professional without effort.

Weekends and casual. All three colourways work well with dark jeans or chinos at the weekend. The Brown Suede variant leans most casual and is well suited to relaxed daywear, a lunch out, or a summer occasion.

Formal events. The Black calf leather Banff is appropriate for smart-casual events such as a summer wedding reception or drinks party where a formal Oxford would be over-dressed. Not a shoe for black-tie.

Not formal enough for. Black-tie, white-tie, or any occasion requiring a formal Oxford or Derby. The loafer silhouette places this firmly in smart-casual territory.

Order one UK size down. The Banff is built on a generous last. If you normally take a UK 9, order a UK 8 in the Banff.

Snug at first is correct. The full calf leather lining will soften and mould gently to your foot over the first few wears. Some initial snugness across the instep is expected and will ease.

Wide forefoot or high instep? If you have a particularly wide forefoot or high instep, order your everyday UK size rather than sizing down, the generous last will still provide a comfortable fit.

All sizes are full UK sizes; we do not stock half sizes. If you normally wear a half size in other brands, for example, a UK 8.5, order the full size above, UK 9, then apply the one-size-down rule and order UK 8 in the Banff. If you wear a UK 9.5 elsewhere, order UK 9 in the Banff.

After each wear. Calf leather (Reef, Black): brush off dust and dirt with a horsehair brush. Calf suede (Brown Suede): brush in one direction with a suede brush to maintain the nap. Insert cedar shoe trees immediately to absorb moisture and hold shape.

Every 3–4 wears. Calf leather: wipe with a damp cloth, allow to dry, apply a leather conditioner, then polish with a colour-matched wax polish. Buff to a shine. Calf suede: apply a suede protector spray every few weeks and use a suede eraser for any marks. Never use wax polish, cream, or leather conditioner on suede; it crushes the nap.

Storage and rotation. Allow at least 24 hours between wears. If they get wet, blot (do not rub) with a clean cloth and dry naturally at room temperature, never use direct heat. Rotate between at least two pairs to extend their working life.
